I don't normally do this, nor have I blogged in my entire life. So this is my first shot and forgive me if you find I ramble on, I usually get to the point (later then sooner that is). Anyway, let me tell you how last week went. On Thursday I went in for an interview at EV Logistics and after a extensive interview, I was hired. I was so enthusiastic and surprised about being hired that I was looking forward to training. So, anyway, the next day was a paid orientation day, which my coworkers and I thought that was really cool. 8 hours in a conference room being briefed in detail of what the job entails. Best part of it all is we got to play with toys to keep our minds at ease and our bodies semi-focused. We had the weekend off and needless to say, I stayed home and relaxed the entire time....I don't go to parties, I never have and never will. It's a waste of time in my opinion....Anyway, Monday rolled around and we had a few safety videos before learning to drive the pallet trucks. It was an interesting experience but one that I never want to try again. The rest of the week was with a trainer learning how to properly stack the pallets. Needless to say, I hated coming into work, not because of my coworkers and trainer (they were great to work with), only because the job didn't suit me....I've now figured out (and my girlfriend agrees with me on this) that I'm best suited working in a office enviorment. Yeah, so now I'm back to step one, looking for a job.
